Following on from the previous post regarding good training – one of the best projects I have been involved in over the years was the testing of a new system planned to come on stream and be rolled out across the whole of the UK in the legal side of life.  It was intended to introduce a paperless court system.  Well after much testing and even more retraining and retesting, the system was shelved for another day, when the technical limitations proved too much for the developers to work round and caused such a problem in the pilot offices, we nearly lost several souls to an early demise!    If the powers that be then had listened to the junior staff who knew the work and how to do it, more closely at the beginning, much time and energy could have been saved for the big push later on.  Another legal mish mash amongst many.
